Experian Changes Their Policy?

Experian Changes Their Policy?????

This letter has been received from Experian regarding a policy towards their "Express Request" service.

 The lines that concerns me are;

 "We will no longer be able to remove an “account in dispute” comment from an account with a consumer letter."

 "Similarly, we will no longer delete accounts when a consumer disputes ownership of an account for which they are an authorized user without proof documentation. "  I haven't seen anything online ... yet ... but I will keep you posted.

Dear Client,
"In response to feedback from data furnishers, we are modifying some policies. These changes will impact the Express Request service.

We will no longer be able to remove an “account in dispute” comment from an account with a consumer letter. Instead, we will require proof documentation from the data furnisher or we can attempt to manually verify the removal if specified on the request form.

Similarly, we will no longer delete accounts when a consumer disputes ownership of an account for which they are an authorized user without proof documentation. These requests also will require proof documentation from the data furthers or we can attempt to manually verify the removal if specified on the request form.

These policy updates will go in to effect January 19, 2015.

Sincerely,

Experian"
